Viscosity Apparatus Stoke's Method

Product Cat # PH0308A

QTY

The Stoke's apparatus experiment set allows students to investigate  the co-efficient of viscosity of  liquid (glycerine or castor oil) by Stoke's Method. Now the possibility to experimentally investigate this law, its corrections, terminal velocities or the falling spheres viscometer concept becomes even simpler. We have printed an easy to read measuring scale on the tube. A tube, 34 mm dia and 100cm  length, filled with the test liquid is supported in a cup placed at the centre of a heavy cast-iron base. The tube is held vertically between three upright rods screwed on to the base. The tube is held at the top by a triangular plate which has a Bakelite disc with a hole at its centre for inserting steel balls into the glass tube. The hole is plugged using a cork to prevent unwanted substances from entering the tube. The lower end of the tube is closed.Supplied without glycerine /castor oil and steel balls.
